Often times you need to submit a request for the company to purchase products. This is called a purchase requisition and it’s job is to track the requests, and than the fulfillment of all purchases within a company. If you have a purchasing department, chances are, they will need this submitted to them. In construction, this can also be used with a contractor / owner relationship.

If you have an owner who is procuring material themselves, you may need to submit a purchase requisition to them in order to initiate their purchasing department.
