Residential and commercial high rise projects throughout the world utilize a fly form system. Essentially, a fly form system is a decking system that is modularized for concrete pours allowing forms to be repositioned quickly to improve the schedule between floor pours.
A tabletop or fly form system can be hazardous. One of the most dangerous times is during the flying phase where forms are removed from underneath of a poured slab and installed on top of it, paving the way for the next concrete pour. In order to ensure that all safety and quality measures are checked prior to the pour it’s wise to have a checklist.
