A safe work procedure for aerial work platform (lift) usage is a form that is completed on construction sites by workers and their supervisors before they perform activities involving lifts. It’s purpose is to do a general review of safety hazards to determine if any exist, and how the work should be performed.
Prior to use, the worker reviews the checklist. In the event of deficient items they either address them or bring them to their supervisors attention. Proper training and planning must go into the work before the checklist is given to the worker.
