Scaffolding is commonly used on construction sites to reach areas that are otherwise tough to get at. Construction companies prefer scaffolding over ladders because workers have a more sound footing. With the use of scaffolding comes requirements that require workers check each time they access it. Because of this it’s important workers use a scaffold inspection checklist – but what is it and why is it used?
Scaffold inspection checklists are used on construction sites to ensure all workers are being safe while using scaffolding. Each scaffolding system may be slightly different, so to help workers avoid missing key items, checklists are used to standardize the list of items being inspected so workers don’t miss something crucial.
Our scaffold safety inspection template has a number of custom questions designed to keep your workers safe while using scaffolding on the jobsite. Questions include:
- Project name and number
- Date and time used
- Scaffolding specific questions
- Signature area for workers
A scaffolding safety checklist will help to ensure workers stay safe while using scaffolding.
As a reminder – this is a template only, companies and users should familiarize themselves with the safety requirements, laws and regulations with all equipment and should modify this template to include them.
