When you’re in the middle of construction it’s important to continuously make sure that all parties are informed of progress and issues. Nobody likes suprises. An easy way to do this on a construction project is through a weekly status report. But what exactly is a weekly status report and how can it be used on a construction project?
A weekly status report is a document issued on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly) that provides updates for team members on key project metrics. It can be used to communicate the status of items and provide notice on risks. Subjects covered within the report typically include: schedule update, submittals, RFIs, progress photos and any major risks.
This weekly status report includes the following fields:
- Construction project name
- Project number
- Date issued
- Schedule update
- Two week look ahead
- RFI forecast
- Submittal forecast
- Progress Photos
This template is a document template. It should work in most modern word processing software including Word, Google Docs or Open Office.
