When you are in a rush to complete a room it’s easy to overlook details. In wall services are the most frequent deficient items that can cause some of the most rework. Missing a pipe in a wall could force you to remove large parts of the wall.
In order to avoid this type of re-work a good practice is to use a construction pre-board checklist. What exactly is a pre-board checklist and how is it used in construction?
A pre-board checklist is a document that is used on a construction site to track completion of in wall services in a room before boarding or drywalling is allowed to proceed. The checklist has mechanical and electrical items that are typically found in rooms.

Once all sections have been completed the area superintendent for the general contractor then acknowledges the form and completes the sign off.
